KJ Tait have been appointed by Ian Macleod Distillers to design the engineering services for their new 2,000 m2 headquarters building in the heart of Broxburn. The two storey building has been designed to maximise passive measures through the use of an intelligent natural ventilation strategy within two large pergola lanterns over the main atrium area.
Designed in 2018, the MEP design underwent an overhaul in 2022 to both maximise energy efficiency and to allow the removal of fossil fuels. The building is expected to be complete within the first quarter of 2023. The building services have been designed in a flexible manner to align with the company’s expected growth in the coming years.
