We are excited to share our involvement with Edinburgh’s greenest new office refurbishment at 30 Semple Street.

This refurbishment will deliver 57,000ft² of Grade ‘A’ office accommodation which includes two new storeys offering spectacular city scape and castle views.

30 Semple Street boasts a host of market leading attributes which KJ Tait were heavily involved in, including:

• 5* NABERS UK target rating. This new national credential from BRE measures the environmental performance of buildings.
• Scotland’s first BREEAM Outstanding refurbishment.
• AirRated Platinum accreditation for indoor air quality.
• EPC ‘A’ achieved after modelling high performing fabric u-vales and g-values.
• Planning has been approved for the addition of solar PV panels for the new roof.
• A Circular Economy approach.
• The building will also benefit from an innovative hybrid VRF air source heat pump system and opening windows with wireless contacts to switch off/on air conditioning to save energy.

KJ Tait have been appointed by Corran Properties Ltd on behalf of CBRE Investment Management to deliver this exemplar project.

This project is now on site and KJ Tait is working alongside an established design team which includes Michael Laird Architects, Axiom Project Management and Blyth & Blyth Structural Engineers.
