Scottish Property Awards Winner

Last night’s Scottish Property Awards in Glasgow recognised 30 Semple Street, Edinburgh with two awards:

• Net Zero Development of the Year, sponsored by Thomson Gray
• Architectural Excellence Award (Commercial), sponsored by EQ Accountants, part of the Sumer Group

KJ Tait were appointed as Mechanical and Electrical Engineer for the project, and also as BREEAM Assessor and NABERS Assessor. This allowed energy strategy, building services design and performance assessment to be considered together from an early stage.

The project demonstrates what can be achieved when operational energy use, carbon performance and design quality are addressed in a coordinated way. It is encouraging to see this approach recognised.

Our thanks go to the wider project team for their collaboration throughout the design and delivery process. The awards provided a fitting close to the project.
