In an effort to reduce running costs, most covered shopping malls have removed cooling plant and have restricted the use of mechanical ventilation plant.

We have worked on projects which maximise the use of natural ventilation smoke vents.

Central ventilation and heating plant are controlled to only operate to avoid extreme mall temperature conditions.

The transition to LED lighting in shop units has also reduced the cooling demand for covered malls and retail stores.
