Energy Auditing

Our energy audit service helps building owners and operators reduce energy consumption, improve operational efficiency, and meet sustainability goals. Delivered in accordance with BS EN16247-01, our audits provide a comprehensive analysis of energy use across your premises and offer actionable recommendations for improvement.

What is an Energy Audit?

An energy audit is a structured assessment of a building’s energy performance. It identifies how and where energy is used, highlights inefficiencies, and recommends both operational and capital improvements. Our energy audits are suitable for a wide range of commercial buildings and support long-term energy management strategies.  Our reports can be used for compliance with the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS)

Our Energy Audit Process

Desktop Analysis

We begin with a detailed review of your building’s energy data. This includes half-hourly consumption records, utility bills, and sub-meter readings to understand usage patterns. We benchmark your building against similar properties using our proprietary Energy Database, helping you see how your building compares to its peers.

Site Visit and Inspection

Our auditors conduct a thorough site inspection to verify energy sources and supply points. This includes:
  • Reviewing plant rooms, switchboards, and distribution boards
  • Inspecting HVAC systems, lighting, and other energy-consuming equipment
  • Engaging with facilities managers to identify shared services and batch-delivered supplies
  • Documenting all findings with photos, diagrams, and site notes
Operational Review

We examine the Building Management System (BMS), including time schedules, set points, and alarms. Maintenance manuals and servicing arrangements are reviewed to identify operational inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

Recommendations and Reporting

Our final report includes:
  • Operational adjustments to reduce energy use
  • Capital measures to upgrade systems and improve long-term performance
  • Benchmarking results to show how your building compares to industry standards
All recommendations are prioritised based on impact and feasibility, giving you a clear roadmap for energy performance improvement.
