Situated between the 18th Green of the Royal & Ancient Golf Club and its Clubhouse, Hamilton Grand is one of the most photographed buildings in the world of golf.
The building is listed and the works to transform this iconic landmark into a luxury hotel and apartments involved a major internal refurbishment creating 26 apartments including a penthouse, a restaurant, members lounge and bar.
The project was split into two phases to coincide with the Open Championship dates at St Andrews, initially a single use hospitality facility and ultimately the current arrangement. The design was complicated due to planning restrictions. The main emphasis of the project was to deliver a high-quality design.
