This new housing development comprises a total of 536 new build units, 70 apartments and 466 houses or cottages, as part of Aberdeen City Council’s build programme of affordable social housing.

 

KJ Tait were engaged by Bancon Construction to carry out the detailed design of all the units which are to be designed to achieve a Gold Sustainability rating.

 

The development includes community facilities, retail units, business units and a multi-use games unit.

To achieve the Gold Sustainability rating, air source heat pumps provide space heating and hot water heating. Our design was carried out in Revit and a fully coordinated design provided.

 

All mechanical, electrical and public health services were designed in accordance with Aberdeen City Council requirements and the Housing for Varying Needs Design Guide.

 

Our role also included sprinkler design, private lighting and EV charger requirements.
