Alistair Black

A Chartered Engineer, Alistair is a Director of KJ Tait with more than 35 years’ experience in the construction industry. He joined the business in 1988 following four years in the wider construction sector and was appointed Director in 1995. He is based in Glasgow and is involved in projects across the UK.

His experience spans all sectors of the construction industry, including commercial offices, research, education and industrial developments. In recent years, his work has focused predominantly on commercial office projects, where he has acted as Project Director on a number of large scale and complex developments.

As a Director, he is involved in all stages of project delivery, from initial design inception through to construction documentation and site services. His experience provides a strong understanding of the key technical, programme and commercial issues that need to be addressed during the early stages of major office developments to support successful delivery.

He has a proven track record of delivering office projects with strong sustainability credentials, alongside earlier work within higher education and other sectors. His long standing experience and practical approach support the consistent delivery of high quality outcomes on complex projects.
