KJ Tait are involved in a number of residential developments with Howard de Walden Estate. These developments are refurbishment projects including layout changes and often involve new build extensions.
Low carbon design is incorporated in all Howard de Walden projects to ensure at least an EPC C is achieved, with all targeted as EPC B rated. Howard de Walden Estate are implementing a low carbon strategy throughout their portfolio of properties.
Innovative low energy heating and ventilation systems are being looked into and considered due to the challenges presented by altering residential properties in a conservation area with some of the projects being listed.
We are collaborating with the Project Teams on insulation improvements and lighting options to assist in minimising the residential EPC ratings and reducing carbon emissions.
