KJ Tait were involved in the detailed design of the M&E installation for the base building and the CAT B fit-out of this new HQ Campus in Grangemouth.
The Campus comprises two connected buildings that were constructed over two phases with the second phase completed in 2021. The Campus comprises office accommodation for 850 staff, Client Suite, canteen, gymnasium, Active Travel Facilities and specialist emergency control accommodation.
The Campus is “all electric” with no on-site fossil fuel usage. An EPC A rating was achieved for both phases.
M&E design for the buildings was geared towards producing a flexible energy efficient solution that allows for future adaptability of the spaces. Within each phase there are three office floors that are fitted out in an almost identical manner and a fourth floor which is bespoke containing Client meeting suites, catering and central service facilities (data etc).
The Campus includes an Energy Centre incorporating an HV/LV substation and a standby generator which satisfies the full building power load.
