6 Duke Street, St James’s is a £5M CAT A office refurbishment undertaken for Aberdeen Standard Investments. Located at the southern end of Duke Street close to St James’s Square, the building offers premium quality office space with a newly designed reception, new cycle parking, shower facilities and roof terrace.
The reception space was enlarged and completely refreshed to create a more contemporary and inviting entrance to the building. This featured specialist lighting and concealed services to complement the architectural finishes. This work was coordinated carefully in order that the building could remain in operation throughout. The neighbouring retail areas were also adjusted to facilitate this work.
All office floors were refurbished on a phased basis to minimise disruption to Tenants. The refurbishment included the replacement of all engineering services to a new modern standard to enable the building to achieve an EPC B rating.
The project also included the reconfiguring of roof plant to create a new roof terrace.
