KJ Tait provided BREEAM consultancy services on this 10,000ft2 fit-out project of the 6th floor for the World Bank Group and International Finance Corporation.
The Client was looking to introduce energy initiatives into the scheme and the BREEAM assessment ratings system was adopted to capture these initiatives.
This project was completed during the COVID-19 pandemic and this introduced challenges of gathering evidence and witnessing works carried out during a fast track fit-out project.
The targeted BREEAM Very Good was achieved at the Design Stage . The rating was constrained by the re-use of the Landlord’s systems but we are awaiting confirmation from BRE as to whether or not the project has achieved an Excellent rating at the Final Stage.
The fit-out had a focus on staff wellbeing and incorporated good quality breakout space and the widespread introduction of plants to improve the indoor environment, as well as maximising the use of daylighting around the perimeter and excellent lighting design.
