KJ Tait are currently working on a number of office projects in London. All recent projects have been subject to compliance with the London Plan which requires buildings to be designed to have zero carbon emissions in relation to operational carbon, and criteria to be met in relation to embodied carbon, the carbon emissions associated with the building construction process.
Although the strict carbon design criteria is currently limited to London, based on our experience this will soon be adopted by other Councils throughout the UK.
