Fundraising challenges have long been a highlight in the KJ Tait calendar. They are demanding and rewarding and bring out the very best of our Team spirit. We are proud to continue that tradition this June as 20 members of the KJ Tait team take on the Mighty Hike in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.
This year’s challenge will see our Team tackle an impressive 25.6 miles through the stunning but unforgiving landscape of the Lake District. It is no small undertaking. Long distances, steep climbs and unpredictable weather are all part of the experience. With walking boots laced and determination high we are ready to take on the challenge together.
Our collective fundraising target is £5,000, which works out at £250 per person. We are already encouraged by the generosity shown so far with donations beginning to come in. Every pound raised helps Macmillan continue its vital work supporting people living with cancer and their families by providing medical, emotional, practical and financial support when it is needed most.
For many of us this cause is personal. Almost everyone has been touched by cancer in some way whether through family and friends or colleagues. Taking part in the Mighty Hike is our way of turning that shared experience into positive action one step at a time.
Your support means a great deal to the Team. We look forward to sharing more updates as the Mighty Hike draws closer and to crossing the finish line knowing we have helped make a real difference.
