This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer with at least five years’ experience to join our well-established Cambridge office to support our growing workload and established Client base. More experienced candidates will also be considered.

The position offers excellent career opportunities and will involve working on an interesting and varied portfolio of projects across a variety of sectors including Science & Research, Education, Commercial, Healthcare, Leisure and Heritage buildings throughout the UK with a particular focus on the South & East of England. As part of our established team, you will produce low energy, creative design solutions, to both scheme and detailed design level. Day to day work will including carrying out site inspections and surveys, preparing specifications and project reports and attending meetings.

Our preference is to deliver a detailed design service to our broad Client base.  The Company has a strong workstream of diverse UK wide projects with institutional Clients, property estates, public bodies, local councils and universities.  Much of our work is repeat business.

Applicants for this position should be degree qualified in an appropriate discipline, e.g. Electrical, Energy or Building Services Engineering or similar, with a minimum of five years’ relevant experience in an Electrical Engineering role within a building services context.  Experience of working with relevant design software (Amtech, Dialux, Revit, etc.) and on BIM projects would be an advantage. 

Applicants should be able to demonstrate strong technical and communication skills, personal confidence and the ability to engage directly with Clients, Design Teams and Contractors.
