KJ Tait Engineers are looking to expand their Glasgow Team and have a vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer with at least three years’ experience.  This position offers excellent career opportunities and will involve working on an interesting and varied portfolio of projects.

As part of our Glasgow Team, you will produce low energy, creative design solutions to both scheme and detailed design level.  Day to day work will also include carrying out site inspections and surveys, preparing specifications and project reports and attending meetings.  You will work across a variety of sectors including Education, Commercial, Healthcare, Leisure and Residential.

Our Glasgow office works on projects throughout Scotland and in South East England.  This position is in response to our expanding workload.  Current areas of expanding work are Commercial and Research Developments with project sizes typically ranging from minor works to £40m.  Our preference is to deliver a detailed design service to our broad Client base.  The Company has a strong workstream of diverse UK wide projects with institutional Clients, property estates, public bodies, local councils and universities.  Our emphasis is on providing a high quality design service and securing high levels of repeat business.

Applicants for this position should be degree qualified in an appropriate discipline e.g. Mechanical, Energy or Building Services Engineering or similar.  Applicants applying for this role should have a minimum of three years’ relevant experience in a Mechanical Engineering role within a building services context (low energy heating, cooling and natural/mechanical ventilation systems, etc). Experience of working with relevant design software including AutoCAD, NBS, IES is a requirement, and experience with Revit MEP and implementation of BIM would be an advantage.
