CIBSE appointed as NABERS UK Administrator
NABERS has recently unveiled the appointment of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) as the new administrator for NABERS UK.
Launched in 2020 through a partnership between key UK industry organisations and NABERS Australia, NABERS UK aims to enhance energy efficiency in commercial buildings by measuring and verifying actual in-use energy performance. The scheme has garnered significant industry support, with nearly 150 office buildings setting NABERS UK Design for Performance targets.
KJ Tait remains supportive of the NABERS framework having three Design for Performance schemes signed off by the Independent Design Review panel alongside having qualified NABERS Assessors able to carry out in-use ratings. We see the appointment of CIBSE as a positive step to increasing NABERS assessments throughout the UK and look forward to working with CIBSE.
