Rowett Institute of Nutritional Science

This is a new £25m biomedical facility for the Rowett Institute which relocated from its existing Bucksburn Campus to the Foresterhill Medical Campus in Central Aberdeen.

The primary focus for the facility is to research human nutritional health. Contained within the six-floor 100,000 ft² building are laboratories for gut health and analytical chemistry, overnight accommodation for human nutrition, and associated support facilities.

This laboratory features many innovative low-energy features including the UK’s first demand-control laboratory ventilation system, as supplied by Aircuity.
