North East Scotland College

Formerly Banff & Buchan College, KJ Tait Engineers undertook full MEP engineering services design and BREEAM consultancy for the redevelopment of the College’s main campus building in Fraserburgh.

The project comprised the refurbishment of 3,650 m² of the existing building with significant new build elements including atria totalling approximately 5,300 m², at a budget cost of approximately £19m.

A significant feature is the ground-air heat exchanger installation, contributing to energy saving, and the largest installed in Scotland. We continue to monitor performance as part of our commitment to renewable resources.
