Maxwell Centre, Cambridge

The Maxwell Centre is a new £15m project for the University of Cambridge, built to aid world-class research in the physical sciences and to translate this for industry. The Maxwell Centre is being assessed under BREEAM New Construction 2011, with Very Good rating targeted plus Excellent scores in carbon reduction credits.

The building incorporates research laboratories, offices, teaching and conference spaces and accommodation for around 230 research staff and students. Use of photovoltaic panels, efficient building services design, sustainable materials and energy efficient laboratory systems have all contributed towards the anticipated BREEAM score.
