Fairfield Primary School

Milton Keynes

This Level 2 BIM project for Milton Keynes Council comprises a 3200m² primary school and nursery and was completed in July 2016 with a value of £7M.

It is a new build 3 Form Entry primary school. The school is a 2 storey development with classrooms in wings and shared facilities which include kitchen and dining areas, assembly rooms, music and special interest classrooms.

The building is predominately naturally ventilated with night time cooling, excellent daylight levels and PV panels producing renewable energy. The scheme incorporated Education Funding Authority requirements including Adaptive Thermal Comfort and Climate based daylight modelling.
