Tarlair Open Air Swimming Pool, Aberdeenshire

Tarlair is a unique triple pool structure comprising paddling pool, boating pool, swimming pool and pavilion/tea-room set in a spectacular bay to the east of Macduff in Aberdeenshire. The wave replenished pools and pavilion were one of the first such Art Deco structures to be built.

KJ Tait are part of the Design Team appointed to restore this Category A-listed open air swimming pool and lido.  The original Art Deco pavilion will be restored and transformed into a tearoom, social space and workshop.

The project is backed by Friends of Tarlair Community Group together with Aberdeenshire Council.
