The 65,000 ft² office refurbishment for Standard Life Investments is located at 100 Pall Mall, London. The building comprises 10 No floors including basement and roof and is used as a commercial office building with a penthouse residential element on the 6th and 7th Floors.
KJ Tait were commissioned to undertake Mechanical and Electrical design services for the refurbishment of the Reception, 3rd, 6th and 7th Floors and rationalisation of plant and lift services.
150 m² of net lettable area was created following the rationalisation of mechanical plantrooms. The main existing riser was rationalised and essential services relocated to allow addition of a new lift core.
Central chiller and boiler plant was landlocked within the basement. This plant was replaced with modern efficient equivalents in a staged manner to retain business continuity.
The reception area was fully refurbished and offices spaces were refurbished to CAT A specification with 4 pipe fan coils, LED lighting and new built in situ local air handling units. All work was carried out while unaffected floors and residential property remained occupied.
