Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors – RICS

Edinburgh

The RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) brief was to move from their existing tenement offices into a modern, flexible, office environment whilst attracting Members and other users to use the facility. This was achieved by creating a Members’ Lounge, flexible multiple Lecture Theatres together with open plan and cellular office accommodation. The “new home” of RICS occupies 6,115 ft2 at 125 Princes Street, Edinburgh, with fantastic views over Princes Street Gardens and Edinburgh Castle at a fit-out cost of £350,000.

The project successfully achieved a Ska “Gold” rating and is nominated for British Council of Offices Scotland Regional award.

KJ Tait Engineers provided full MEP design services and contributed to the environmental awards.
