ic3, Liverpool Science Park

Innovation Centre 3 (ic3) at Liverpool Science Park incorporates physics, chemistry and biology laboratories and Grade A air-conditioned office space and was assessed under the BREEAM 2008 Bespoke criteria by KJ Tait Engineers.

The 27,400 ft² centre based in the centre of Liverpool forms part of Liverpool Science Park, which opened in 2006. Innovation Centre 3 was constructed between spring 2013 and spring 2014. Key drivers in achieving a Very Good BREEAM Bespoke award included energy-efficient building services to the laboratories (significant reduction in CO2 emissions), construction on the existing site’s car park (re-using developed land and reducing overall car parking spaces for the site), and the use of quality building fabric using sustainable materials.
