EnQuest

Aberdeen

EnQuest is an independent oil and gas development and production company, currently the largest UK independent oil producer in the UK North Sea. Their new headquarters, located at Palmerston Road, Aberdeen accommodates all of EnQuest’s 800 staff in one building of 120,000 ft² over eight storeys.

KJ Tait Engineers acted for EnQuest in development of the client brief, and monitored the developer’s proposals and installations. MEP engineering services incorporate VRF air conditioning, gas-fired air-handling plant and domestic hot water generated from heat recovered from the air conditioning system. The emphasis is on energy efficiency, quality, flexibility and maintainability. The building utilises daylight harvesting throughout the floor plate with decorative LED lighting solutions in all common areas.

The brief required a BREEAM rating of Very Good.
