Dundas House

Edinburgh

Dundas House was fully refurbished and extended to provide accommodation for Standard Life’s Sales and Marketing team and forms part of their Edinburgh headquarters accommodation.

Originally built in the 1960s, the completed building is 172,000 ft² with occupancy of 1,250. The original courtyard was roofed over to create a large atrium space that is used for dining, meetings and social events and includes the main vertical and horizontal circulation route. The relatively low floor-to-ceiling height of this project presented a challenge to the MEP engineering services design. The solution comprised suspended chilled beams with integral lighting, an exposed soffit and new external plantrooms.

Dundas House was cordially received by those who work there and received a BCO Regional Workplace Award.
